Two king BR, two queen BR, two bunk rooms, first with triple bunk and twin and own bath sleeps 4, second with triple bunk sleeps 3, rec room with double futon and queen sofa-bed. Suggested capacity 15, but obviously can sleep more, main consideration is for guests to be comfortable. Remodeled In 2010: Upgraded Kitchen W/ Granite Counter Tops & New Appliances, Enlarged Master Bath With Marble Accents. Main Bath downstairs marble and enlarged shower convenient and private for down King and Queen BR. Located in quiet, family-friendly, low-traffic North End of Sandbridge, a short stroll from the lifeguarded beach. Beach Bird features a solar-heated 16 x 36 pool. You can relax at the wonderful shaded poolside patio with comfortable cushioned chairs and table under the 12 x 24 gazebo. There is also ample poolside lounging, outside shower, and two gas grills in the private fenced backyard. Additional features are the downstairs kitchenette with 2nd refrigerator and microwave, hot plate & oven off the rec room. There is a spacious front deck with second patio dining set and ample parking in the gravel front yard. AC/heat-pump, 7 TVs (1 large screen), VCR's, DVD's, hi speed wireless internet access, basketball, ping pong, high chair. No smoking or pets. Because of new Homeaway policy of erroneously labeling taxes they collect as lodging taxes (they are state sales taxes @ 6% , they are NOT Lodging Tax as labeled by by Homeaway. The i% city tax is a SALES tax. The City of Virginia Beach collects a separate LODGING Tax of 9.5%. For early reservations this year I am covering these as a discount of 9.5% , in order not to inconvenience my guests with this additional payment request, while I work with the City to correct this error. At least in Sandbridge we get some of this amount back in the form of sand replenishment which keeps us in the top ten lists.
